Approx. 26x22 inches (framed)
This piece was created using many layers of acrylic, oil stick, limestone, coffee, and charcoal from a fallen tree at Lake and Mendocino after the Eaton Fire. The surface is intentionally calm and restrained, inviting stillness at first glance. Beneath that quiet, the texture holds weight--echoing the mountain forms above Altadena. The work reflects the hush that settled over the town once the last embers burned out: a pause filled with memory, presence, and a sense of land that will endure beneath everything that changed.
The antique wood frame was sourced from an Altadena second-hand shop.
